Luis D. Garcia, LMHC.
I attended Columbia College where I was honored with the dean’s list award four times while attaining my undergraduate degree in clinical psychology. I then completed my graduate degree in clinical psychology at Capella University where I obtained the Dean’s List award six times and graduated with distinction. In 2018, I began working with patients in the Central Florida area — offering them a wide range of counseling and psychological services to guide them through life’s challenges and most trying times.
In therapy, I employ REBT for cognitive restructuring for issues such as depression and anxiety, EMDR for trauma processing for depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and COGMED for enhancing cognitive abilities for those struggling with issues such as Attention Deficit and learning disabilities. The combination of these approaches empowers my clients toward positive change.
By integrating these modalities into my practice, I aim to provide you with a comprehensive therapeutic experience tailored to your unique needs and goals. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, or other life challenges, I am here to offer you support and guidance every step of the way.
Together, we will work collaboratively to explore your experiences, identify underlying patterns, and develop practical strategies to foster positive change and empower you to live a more fulfilling life. I believe in creating a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly, and I am committed to helping you achieve meaningful and lasting transformation
